SEND US YOUR BEST LIFEHACKS!
As a fun, engaging way to connect to our Lifehacks: Unlocking Faithful Simplicity series, we want to hear from YOU! What are your best lifehacks??? Maybe it’s a creative home organizing strategy, a tricky (but honest!) way around something technical, or an easy meal prep idea. We’d love to collect as many of these as […]
CONGREGATIONAL CARE NOTE: GriefShare this October
Over the past year or more, we have made attempts at starting a grief support class called GriefShare, a 13-week course designed for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Pastor Jenny plans to lead a GriefShare class beginning in October, on Wednesday evenings, from 6:15-7:30pm. On-site Health & Safety Guidelines will […]
AUGUST MISSION: Back to School Blessing!
As a way of offering some love to the educators among us as they head into this unprecedented schoolyear, we invite you to make a contribution toward our August “Back to School Blessing” mission! You can contribute toward this mission in the following ways: By purchasing and bringing to McCabe packs of single-cup brew coffee […]
CONFIRMATION CEREMONY: August 23rd @ 4:30pm
When we shut-down in-person gatherings in mid-March, that meant we had difficulty finishing our Confirmation classes. It also meant we weren’t able to have our Confirmation ceremony within a regular worship service, as we have in the past. Since we want to be conscientious about capacity in our McCabe Sanctuary, our Confirmation ceremony will be […]
July Sermon Series Introduces new Lead Pastor, Karl Kroger
In July, we’ll experience a 4-week series on the book of Jonah. Through this series, we’ll be introduced to our new Lead Pastor (Rev. Karl Kroger), his call to ministry, and our collective call to love all God’s children.

RESCHEDULED: 2020 General & Jurisdictional Conferences
Our regularly scheduled General Conference session was to be held in Minneapolis this May: it has been RESCHEDULED for August 29-September 7, 2021 in Minneapolis. (This is the global, policy-making gathering of United Methodists that regularly meets every 4 years. The 2019 General Conference session was a specially called session.) Additionally, all Jurisdictional Conferences have […]
ANNUAL CONFERENCE: Rescheduled for October 9-10
The scheduled Annual Conference session in Sioux Falls, June 10-12, has been RESCHEDULED for October 9-10 at Legacy UMC in Bismarck. We may end up hosting some related meetings here at McCabe during that time, but the bulk of the Annual Conference session will be held on-site at Legacy.
IN-PERSON GATHERINGS TO RESUME JUNE 6-7th
With the guidance of local health professionals, and in consultation with our McCabe Board of Directors, at this point, we are waiting to resume any in-person gatherings until early this month. This includes Bible studies, small group meetings, and, of course, worship services. Our staff, our Board, and our Safer Reopen Task Force will continue […]
